Singer Marilyn Manson Accused and Sued Again of Sexual Assault

Emanuel Shirazi

Marilyn Manson is once again being sued for sexual assault. This lawsuit was filed less than a week after he settled a sexual assault lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, Esme Bianco.

Plaintiff, who chose to identify as Jane Doe, filed a lawsuit on January 30 in Nassau County, N.Y. against Manson alleging sexual assault and rape. She claims that it began when she was 16 years old and continued for years. According to the lawsuit, Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, sexually assaulted Doe in 1995. This occurred on his tour bus after a concert produced for all ages. Doe also alleges that the singer threatened to kill her and her family if anyone found out about the incident. Manson continued to communicate with the minor, constantly grooming her and encouraging her to send explicit images of herself and her friends. In 1995, Marilyn Manson insisted on having her attend a concert in New Orleans where he assaulted her once again. In 1999, while Manson was on tour, he had the plaintiff attend several shows and continued to be groomed and assaulted by the singer. Jane Doe claims that Manson would coerce her to have sexual relations with him, other band members, and occasionally would have his assistant join. The plaintiff was also given drugs and alcohol throughout the tour.

Marylin Manson’s former label, Interscope Music Publishing and Nothing Records, are listed as defendants in the lawsuit. The plaintiff claims that they were aware of the singer’s abusive behavior and are accused of protecting, promoting, and profiting from him and his conduct. Doe’s attorney, Karen Barth Menzies, stated that this lawsuit is “an indictment of the music industry for maintaining a culture that celebrates, protects, and enables sexual predators.”

Manson’s attorney claims that the singer does not know who the plaintiff is and does not remember ever having met her 28 years ago. He also accused Doe of fabricating a story and selling it on tabloids and podcasts for more than two years.

In February 2021, Evan Rachel Wood, Manson’s ex-girlfriend, accused him of being abusive during their 4-year relationship. In a two-part documentary released on HBO Max in 2022, Wood details the abuse she endured throughout the entirety of their on-and-off relationship. She claims that Manson hit her with a whip that had a Nazi logo, shocked her private parts, drugged her, deprived her of sleep, raped her, and would constantly threaten to kill her or himself if she left him.

Esme Bianco, Marilyn Manson’s ex-girlfriend, sued him in April 2021 for rape and verbal and physical abuse. Bianco claims that Manson deprived her of food and sleep, constantly gave her drugs and alcohol, locked her in a bedroom, whipped her, cut her, shocked her, tried to force her to partake in sexual relations with another woman and threatened to rape her while she slept. According to the lawsuit that was filed in federal court in Los Angeles, these detailed incidents had been occurring since 2007.

After Evan Rachel Wood’s public accusation, more than a dozen women made allegations of Manson’s sexual misconduct in the past few years. Only four women have sued the singer on sexual assault allegations.
